Truecaller: Caller ID & Block App Reviews

I agree with one of the other reviewers that Ive had way more spam calls since installing this app. I just uninstalled it and will post a follow-up review whether or not the spam calls stop.

I love this app!

I downloaded this app just to see what its about. After downloading this app.. I would receive 10-20 random calls from different states.. When answering.. Dead silence. When calling back, it was either disconnected or busy. I also have been receiving unknown calls. You cant block or call back. It is actually getting to a point where i want to just change my phone number:

TrueCaller has improved on this new version giving more info to unknown numbers and appears to process information more quickly. I give it four stars because compared to the competition it is at the top of its list.

I dont get the spam calls people are talking about, my deal is the caller id works for a while then it doesnt, I quess they want you to buy the professional version, but when it works its cool.

I was able to identify a cell number other apps were unable to find. Havent been able to get the name search to pull up any results I was looking for (not even of peoples I already knew...didnt even locate that person in the correct state). It does seem to work good for searching by number, but then again I was asked to rate this app only after it returned just one result! I searched my own number and it only returned the false name I used when signing up...John Doe!

In order to use this app you must upload your whole contact list. It gets EVERYTHING. So nothing is private and other users can search those names and see everything you have entered into your contacts.

HATE spam calls! LOVE this app!

Really cut down on the new spam numbers that I didnt have blocked.

Must have app for people with a busy life.

This app will put your phone number into their directory which ANYONE can access which will make you MORE susceptible to Robo calls, not less! They also want access to your phone book and Facebook and email accounts to steal all of your contacts information!

I was getting spam calls sometimes five and six each day. My manual solution was putting them in a contact labeled SPAM so I could ignore them when they came in. A friend suggested this app and it works like a charm. It could use some improvements but its far better than the manual method I was using.

I get a ton of spam calls. I love the simplicity and enormous database of True caller.

Apps dont cause you to get more phone calls… I bless truCaller is selling our info to spammers and I sure hope thats not the case. I get calls every day. This app blocks them or marks them as spammers only occasionally. In their defense though its a nearly impossible task to block them all. What we really need is enforcement of the federal do not call list. Signing up for that didnt slow down spam in my phone.

So far since I installed the app it has done what its supposed to do. Spam calls have diminished and those calls that have made it thru I only had to add the number to the list and never again got another call from them.
